With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Patrick Gainer is among our leading retirement plan advisors.
He began his career with a professional money management firm that served large pensions, endowments, and high-net-worth individuals.
In addition, he served as a pension consultant and plan administrator, designing, implementing, and reviewing qualified employee benefit plans for a pension plan consulting firm.
As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) Mr. Gainer has been extensively trained and tested through the center of Fiduciary Studies to help address fiduciary liability for retirement plan sponsors.
Mr. Gainer attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed the Investment Management Consultants Association’s Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) program. A firm believer in staying abreast of industry trends, Mr. Gainer is an active member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). Mr. Gainer has also earned the designation Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®) by meeting rigorous professional standards and testing in all areas of retirement plans and retirement planning from the College of Financial Planning. In addition, in 2015 Mr. Gainer was honored with being named to the Financial Times magazine Top 401k Retirement Plan Advisors list.
As a Certified Investment Management Analyst®, he has contributed investment articles in Sacramento publications and served as a speaker and educator in the community. Mr. Gainer earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in monetary policy from the University of California, Davis. In his community, he has served on the boards of The Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento, Eureka Schools Foundation, Granite Bay Youth Lacrosse, Granite Bay High School Lacrosse and the new membership
committee of the Granite Bay Golf Club. He resides in Granite Bay with his wife of 23 years.
