Primarily fee-based model using third party money managers. Heavy emphasis on planning and holistic client relationships. Focus is on retirement planning and transition. Looking to engage in dialogue concerning possible relationships for sale/succession planning. Preferred firm will have multiple advisors/CFPs (i.e., not a small/solo practice) and has or willing to establish presence or take over office in Richmond, VA area. Prefer to engage with hybrid or independent RIAs and that have BD capacity (for non-advisory assets held by clients) and be with a large BD (no interest in "fringe" BDs). Investment management approach should be based on rigorous, documented, conflict-free analysis., No interest in insurance/annuity/alternative centric practices.
