I have spent 25 years on Wall Street managing assets and liabilities for institutional clients, (mainly insurance companies). My background is in global multi-asset portfolio management, which involved strategic asset allocation, manager selection, global tactical asset allocation, and on-going risk management. I am also as 23y retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, with combined active and reserve duty. I am 49yrs old, our youngest child graduates college in 2017, our mortgages are paid off, and we can self finance the purchase of one or more practices. I would like to spend the next 15yrs of my career managing a practice or partnership out west, or in the southeast, where my wife and I ultimately intend to settle and retire. I think my significant financial background would be a great fit for an RIA, an independent practice, or a significant wire house team. Additionally, I feel strongly that my personal and professional background would be very comforting to clients as they transition their one of their most significant relationship from one trusted advisor to another. Lastly, from a seller's perspective, I feel that having a buyer who is unencumbered by an existing book of business or firm entanglements creates an opportunity where the earn out potential for their practice is maximized.
