I am a 31 year old CFA charterholder looking for an RIA/advisor that wants to sell their book or business, or develop a succession plan with an eventual buyout. I would ideally like to find an owner that has a flexible time frame to retirement, and would like to keep their firm small and personal as opposed to joining a large, behemouth RIA practice. I currently sell investment products to institutional investors, this includes RIAs, bank trusts, super regional ranks, and consultants, so I have a great understanding of what clients are looking for, and the issues many advisors face in growing and retaining their client base. I also have direct advisory experience as a retirement specialist for public sector deferred compensation plans.
I already have a plan to build out my personal practice through a diverse network of professionals. This includes doctors, professional athletes, and retired public safety officials.
I have also spoken to a couple financing companies, and have a good understanding of the terms that would be attached to a financing deal if that would be the preferred course of action.
