I have been in the Financial Advisor business 25 years. I became a Certified Financial Planner in May of 2000. I worked at a CitiStreet, UBS and M&I bank before partnering with a long time friend and going independent in 2010. I am affiliated with AdvisorNet Financial which is headquartered in downtown Minneapolis. My office is in Hudson, WI. I have specialized in retirement plans , although I only have a few small plans at this time. My business is primarily working with clients I acquired while at UBS and M&I Bank. Most of my clients are within a 20 mile radius of my Hudson office, however, I have clients in ND, St. Cloud and Tomah WI. I work mostly with retirees and pre-retirees. I am affiliated with Federal Benefits Educators (an FMO) which focuses most of my new client acquisition activity on Federal Employees. I have extensive experience in public employee pensions and benefits. I have been mostly fee-based since the late 1990s. I no longer construct my own portfolios though I am not averse to that. While at M&I I was introduced to their MAAP portfolios that have a tactical piece to their strategy. Once going independent I sought out Third Party Management companies that had similar tactical philosophies that would work for my clients. I have always place my clients interests ahead of my own. I am looking to purchase a practice East of the Twin Cities to continue to grow. I would like it to be within 60 miles of my Hudson office. I intend to continue to work for another 10 -15 years and ultimately turn the business over to my partner who is 16 years younger than me.
