Overview

I am looking to buy a Practice (RIA, primarily) with $50-$100m in AUM. I do not currently own a book, practice, business or a firm. I do have 18 years of industry experience working as a mutual fund wholesaler for 2 firms over that time period. I am a mid-career professional in search of a Practice that I can use as a springboard to continue (or restart) asset growth and ultimately build it into a legacy Business. I am flexible in the options that I would consider, including "sell and stay" situations, advisors looking for continuity planning, a junior partner buy-in, or an outright sale with an advisor transition period. Currently, I hold the CIMA® designation and I'm preparing for the CFP. My plan would be to run / grow the Practice for 20+ years, providing both mid-career experience and long-term client commitment to the seller. I would prefer opportunities in my home market of Tampa, FL but would consider relocation along the east coast for the right opportunity. Finally, based on my research regarding financing and down-payment requirements, I am confident that I have the resources to help minimize the seller's financial risks.
