I started this firm 2 yr ago. Have 10 yr in industry. Previously I had nearly 40mm AUC and 350K gross--headed back that way... I do mainly retirement planning/wealth management. I run a young, growing office. I am looking to acquire a practice up to 50mm AUM, become a successor or have someone join for me to acquire theirs over time. Prefer another CFP. I like my current office and have room for another advisor and another assistant (mine is part-time). Comprehensive Planning is included in what I do. I am not leaving my Hybrid RIA. Most assets are in Advisory accounts. I have some Life ins, I do like VAs for part of some accounts. Very little brokerage business. Finally, 3rd party mangers: in addition to A-B and James Capital, I have a lot of joint accounts with a CFA/program manager in our firm who manages/balances/researches, etc for me. I do clients, I own the client relationship, he does the investment part. Easiest for me to acquire is another LPL book, but will consider others if the situation is right. Will require overlap with advisor and a non-compete agreement with a book I acquire.
