I am interested in acquisition opportunities with retiring advisors. My primary focus has been managed accounts, and financial planning for the top 10 percent of my book. Most of my current clients are interested in portfolio growth but a fair number are already retired and seek predictable income. McClurg Capital has a dedicated bond desk and with the ta code revision California muni bonds may actually appreciate in value this year because of increasing demand and flat supply for new issues. Income seeking clients may be a good fit for y practice, as would younger clients seeking growth. Given the personal chemistry intrinsic to client relationships I would want to work closely with the advisor actually selling part of his or her book or practice during the transition.
Because of my gender and my activities within the community aimed at women, a number of my larger clients are women, who seek a consultative approach to their accounts and needs. I frequently sponsor seminars on investment topics.
