Overview

I am a 37 year old CFP with a client base primarily in their 40s and 50s. I'm an IAR-only advisor but I also provide insurance advice/sales to my clients. I dropped my series 7 and brokerage affiliation last year but would be able to reactivate for the right partnership. I leverage a very structured process with my clients that is centered around goals-driven planning and tax optimized investment implementation. I have spent a large part of my career building a $4 billon plus RIA as a managing director for a larger RIA but maintain ownership of my client relationships (roughly $27mm AUM). I have a lot of experience in RIA technology, compliance, advisor recruiting, and business/succession plan consultation. I'm well versed at with all of the primary custodial platforms but currently use Schwab and LPL for my client relationships. I'm well capitalized and able to purchase a business as an asset sale but my primary goal would be to partner with an advisor/team that is looking for a structured succession plan with a 3-7 year exit plan. I've found these succession plans/partnerships to ultimately be more successful but more importantly provide the best experience for the end clients. I recognize that cultural and philosophical fit are the initial key elements to a successful succession plan and look to open a discussion through this SuccessionLink forum.

Thanks,

Russ
