RIA
SEEKING ADVISORS AT CAPACITY! Atlas Financial Planning is a newly created RIA located in Orange County, CA. After spending almost 18 years in the broker-dealer environment, it was time to build a practice that matched our values. This profile is being posted for two particularly important reasons. 1. We’re not looking to acquire assets for the sake of hoarding assets under management. We’ve been in this business way too long to know that that’s not a business model that matches our core values: providing great advice to great clients. 2. We’ve also been in the business long enough to know there a lot of great advisors out there with seasoned practices who aren’t looking to sell or merge but are simply at capacity. In the broker-dealer environment, advisors have the ability to house or “orphan” clients who no longer fit their business model (for whatever reason). As independent, boutique or family firms, we don’t have that option. We’re here to provide you that option. Here's what IS important: 1. You genuinely care for all your clients, but capacity has now limited your ability to provide your A-game. This tells us you not only care about these clients, but you also want to make sure someone will care for them too. 2. As mentioned, we’re not looking to acquire for the sake of revenue. We’re looking to provide a value to advisors but also welcome clients that are good people that value good advice. These families will now be our long-term clients and that’s important to us. These clients will be family. Here’s what IS NOT important: • Who do we clear through? The #1 mental roadblock we see with advisors. Clients aren’t concerned with who they’re clearing through, they want someone who cares about them. • Which fund family(ies) do you use? The more important question is “will you be hitting my clients with capital gains?” If there’s one way to sour a new relationship with a client, that would do it. Assume there will be changes but know if changes need to be made they will be handled delicately, efficiently and with the clients’ best interest in mind. At the end of the day, it all starts with a conversation. Even if you’re just kicking the tires, let’s talk about it and see where it goes. Go to our website to learn about us. Jeffrey E.
