Overview

I am looking to either buy a local book or merge with another advisor as a means of their successful succession. I am especially interested in listening to advisors who already have their clients on a brokerage platform, and/or who are looking to go fee-based.

We are a fee-based fiduciary. My office is growing at an average of 34% per year and has an average 97% annual client retention ratio. Our RIA has an in-house research team and an in-house money management team, and I have been in business for 15 years (the RIA has been in business for 28 years). We are a holistic financial planning firm, helping clients with strategic tax/financial planning, life insurance strategy, and investment management. We are Buffet-style active money managers investing mainly in individual stocks because we value transparency very highly.

We want clients to know what they own and why they own it.
-Transparency gives clients confidence, and confident clients stay.
-This is especially important in times of volatility (E.g So clients can see what you are buying when prices fall.)
-And also important when you have a client who is passionate about a cause. (E.g. If a client is passionate about not owning Monsanto, they should be able to know if they own Monsanto.)
