I am a 52 year old CFP running a small RIA practice in Sarasota, FL that would like to bring on a junior partner to groom to take over in the long term, but to refer leads to right away. My wife handles all of the back office duties, but would love to give that up as she is a CPA and busy with her own clients. We currently custody with Schwab. I trade all of my accounts myself and enjoy doing so and plan to do so until the day I die, but I do recognize the need for a succession plan. Ideal candidate would be licensed with some AUM that could eventually transfer over. In the meantime, the candidate could handle referrals for smaller clients while helping with some back office duties. We would consider a generous salary with bonus structure for the right candidate while we build toward a buy out over the longer term.
